AttractionsAlthough Costa del Silencio was one of the first areas of Tenerife to be specifically developed for tourism, it is quite surprising that almost 40 years later there is still no official tourist information offices in the resort. If for whatever reason you don't decide to hire a car, getting around Tenerife by public transport is fairly easy.
A very reliable bus service is operated by the
Transportes Interurbanos de Tenerife,
and the last time we counted no less than 6 of their routes passed through Costa del Silencio. For those
wishing to explore the island by this relatively inexpensive method of transport, the routes are: The nearby San Miguel Marina is now the mooring point of The Sub Fun Cinco submarine. For the technically minded, the Sub Fun Cinco is 1 of only 5 Mark II tourist submarines that were built by the Mobimar Corporation of Finland and is 18.5m long, can safely dive to a depth of 60m and cruise at 2 knots, whilst carrying a maximum of 48 passengers plus a crew of 2. A trip on The Sub Fun Cinco usually lasts around 50 minutes, during which you will normally be submerged for around 40 minutes, and departs throughout the day from 10am.
