The 2 star Hotel Abelux is situated along the central south coast of Majorca, in a quiet residential area of the historic City of Palma. The hotel is approximately 3km north of the shopping and historical centre of the city and around 10km from the Son San Joan International Airport. Many of the Palma tourist attractions are only a 20 minute walk from the hotel and the small, sandy Cala Mayor beach is approximately 6km to the south west. Built in 1968 and extensively renovated during the winter of 2000, the Hotel Abelux has a total of 65 guest rooms, including 60 twin rooms and a further 5 singles, which are built over 5 floors. All guest rooms at the hotel are centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television and either a balcony or terrace with exterior views. In addition to the above features, 26 guest rooms have also been fitted with air conditioning units, and subject to availability these are available with a small supplement, and all rooms at the hotel are provided with a maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week. Guest facilities on offer include a reception area, along with a lounge bar with television. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but does have a small breakfast room.
