Built in 1963 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 1999/2000, the modern low rise Grupotel Aguait has a total of 189 guest rooms, including 160 standard twin rooms and a further 29 singles, which are built over 3 floors and set amidst almost 2,300m2 of well kept Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area overlooking the sea.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a satellite television with music channels, direct dial telephone, mini bar, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea.

In addition to the above features, a number of guest rooms at the Hotel Aguait have been specially adapted for disabled guests, and all rooms are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange desk, and both luggage and courtesy rooms with showers for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor swimming pool for adults, with separate children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens overlooking the sea which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground and both pool and table tennis tables.

Of special interest to sports enthusiasts, the Club de Tenis Aguait is situated only 100 metres from the Hotel Grupotel Aguait, which features twelve artificial grass courts, two of which are floodlit. The club offers tennis lessons and coaching from beginner’s to advanced levels through different programmes, including a high-level tennis school with Erik Van Harpen, along with a children’s school and both individual and group lessons.

Guests staying at the Hotel Aguait also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own Spa and Wellness Centre, which features a smaller indoor heated swimming pool, with Jacuzzi, sauna and cardiovascular gymnasium, as well as offering a variety of other cosmetic and beauty treatments including Algae whole body treatments, salt massage and both manicure and pedicures.

The Hotel Aguait also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment with either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.

In recognition of the Grupotel commitment towards caring for the environment, the Hotel Aguait has been awarded the internationally renowned certification of ISO 14001:2004 certification, awarded for the achievement of the highest standards in environmental management procedures, as well as the TUI Environment Champions prize 2007 and 2008, for the most environmentally friendly hotels worldwide.
