Built in 1964 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2008, the modern low rise Hotel Flamingo has a total of 100 guest rooms, including 88 standard twin rooms, 10 singles and a further 2 Suites, all of which are built over 5 floors and set amidst 185m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area overlooking the magnificent Bay of Palma.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, mini bar, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental, and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea.

In addition to the above features, Suites at the Hotel Flamingo also have a lounge area with two additional sofa beds, and all rooms are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen every three days.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens overlooking the bay which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a smaller indoor heated pool with two hydro-massage showers.

Of special interest to cyclists the Hotel Flamingo also has a specially adapted area for storing, maintaining and repairing bicycles, which is equipped with individual security fittings, as well as a selection of basic cleaning and repair tools.

In recognition of the high standards of customer care and management systems, the Hotel Flamingo has been awarded the internationally recognised Spanish Tourism Quality Institute "Q" quality mark which is only granted to establishments which meet the highest standards of continuous improvement in all services, also it was the first hotel in Spain to receive Öko-Proof-Betrieb environmental certification from TÜV Rheinland, and it has also been awarded first prize for Hotel Environment Excellence by the City of Palma.
