Part of the Delfin Group of hotels, the 4 star Hotel Delfin Playa is situated around 50 metres from the beach,
in the lively resort of Palma Nova on the south west coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 20km west
of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and a few steps from the centre of the resort
where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants, shops and nightlife. Built in 1964 and extensively renovated during the winter of 1999, the modern Hotel Delfin Playa has a total of 144 guest rooms, including 140 twin rooms and a further 4 Junior Suites, which are distributed between a 6 storey main building and smaller 5 storey annexe, and set amidst almost 2,000m2 of sun terraces and Mediterranean style gardens, around a large central pool area overlooking the seafront promenade and magnificent Bay of Palma Nova. All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, music system, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the sea. In addition to the above features, all guest rooms at the hotel are also provided with a maid service undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week. Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with public internet terminals, a games room, laundry and medical services, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, and both lounge and pool bars. Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with a separate children’s section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground, as well as a smaller indoor heated pool, with sauna and cardiovascular gymnasium, as well as offering guests a variety of massage treatments. The Hotel Delfin Playa also provides a seasonal programme of evening entertainment with either live music, cabaret or other professional shows twice a week.
