Built in 1970 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2003, the modern low rise Hotel Janeiro has a total of 233 guest rooms, including 190 standard twin rooms, 21 singles and a further 22 self catering studio flats, all of which are distributed between a 5 storey main building and a further single storey annexe, and set amidst almost 200m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces overlooking a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area.

In addition to the above features, studio flats at the Hotel Janeiro, also have an open plan kitchenette with electric cooking rings, refrigerator and microwave oven, along with a combined lounge/dining room with sofa beds, and all guest rooms at the hotel are also provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, with high speed WiFi access available in selected areas, laundry and medical services, and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large 25 metre outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's splash pool and Jacuzzi, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground and mini club, along with both pool and table tennis tables.

Guests staying at the Hotel Janeiro also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own "Vital Spa" Health and Beauty Centre, which features a cardiovascular gymnasium with Jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath, as well as offering a variety of other cosmetic and beauty treatments, including thermal circuits along with various other massage treatments.

Of special interests to sports enthusiasts, the Hotel Janeiro also offers the use of a newly opened sports facility suitable for the practice of the following sports: swimming, triathlon, cycling, mountain biking, hiking, nordic walking, running, golf, tennis and others.

The Hotel Janeiro also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco, which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
