Built in 2002, the modern low rise Sun Island complex has a total of 208 one and two bedroom bedroom self catering apartments, which are distributed between 8 two storey buildings, and set amidst spacious sub-tropical gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms on the complex are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with an open plan kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave oven, kettle, toaster and coffee maker, a combined lounge/dining room with with additional sofa beds, direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, 10 apartments on the complex have also been specially adapted for disabled guests, and all rooms are provided with a maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes 5 large outdoor freshwater swimming pools for adults, with integrated children's splash pools, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's playground and mini club, along with a floodlit hard surface tennis court, a multi-sports activity area for football and volleyball etc and both pool and table tennis tables.

Guests staying at the Sun Island Apartments also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the on-site Spa and Thalassotherapy Centre, which features a cardiovascular gymnasium along with a sauna and Jacuzzi, as well as offering a variety of other cosmetic and beauty treatments.

The Sun Island Apartments also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring early morning gymnastics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
